The mission of the Research Journal of Textile and Apparel is to provide a forum for exchange of ideas and for dissemination of research accomplishments for members of the professional community of textiles and apparel.

In this context, I would appreciate your views on the format and contents of the Journal. I would also appreciate your submission of original work. Papers on broad areas of topics pertinent to the soft-goods will be published in the Journal, including:

• Fiber, textile, and clothing technology
• Management and marketing of the textile/clothing business
• Economics, international trade, consumption in textiles/clothing
• Historical aspects of industries
